I am currently using my UC500 system with SIP trunks provided by Paetec. I want to use Skype as second SIP provider for LD. I would like to be able to make use of both at the same time whereby calls starting with "9" match Paetec SIP dial-peers and calls starting with "6" match Skype dial-peers.
The problem is that the sip-ua section of the config has parameters to register with Paetec. Since the sip-ua section seems to be global how would I register with Skype? Better yet, if I do not have any incoming service from Skype do I need to SIP register at all? Can't I just point a dial-peer to their servers and go?
Thanks,
Diego

When you setup your Skype Connect account (new name for Skype for SIP) in your profile under authentication options you have the option for registration or IP authentication. Maybe you can use IP address authetication and not need to worry about registration at all?
They also have documents explaining setup and one particularly for UC500.

Here is some Cisco documentation on multiple SIP trunk registration, as well:

That should come in handy.
