How to Block FAN messages in router syslog buffer

Hi, My cisco router sends a lot FAN messages, that its buffer gets full and i lose important messages.

is there any way i can instruct router not to capture FAN related messages in buffer some how?

Sep  1 16:24:19: %FAN-3-FAN_FAILED: Fan 2 had a rotation error reported.
Sep  1 16:24:39: %FAN-3-FAN_FAILED: Fan 1 had a rotation error reported.
Sep  1 16:24:39: %FAN-3-FAN_FAILED: Fan 2 had a rotation error reported.
Sep  1 16:24:59: %FAN-3-FAN_FAILED: Fan 1 had a rotation error reported.

You might be able to use the logging filter command along with a TCL script.

But seriously, you should get the root cause taken care of - get the fan fixed or RMA the router. If you are really concern about important message, you should use a syslog server. Logging buffer will not store any data if the router is rebooted.

I dont know Jerry..... These fans are noisy, cause syslog messages and consume power.  Who needs them!!!    I'll give ya 5 points for the effort though.

Your link directed me in right direction , here is how i managed it, full marks for you too for directing me towards resolution

logging discriminator nolog msg-body drops Fan 

logging buffered discriminator nolog

logging console discriminator nolog

Thank you for the advice! The fan was replaced but still receive the same error.
