I have a 3750 switch that had been part of a stack but it now on its own.  sho io int should only display ports on 1/0/* but as you can see from the output below 2/0/* is still showing.  How can I remove the old stacked config references?  Thanks.

Ahhhh ... Ok.  So you want to remove switch 2?

Scroll down the config.  You erase the line that has "switch 2 provision <3750 model number>".

Easy.  In config mode use the command "switch 2 renumber 1".

Save the config and reload.

I tried - but no luck.

lab-swouter1#sho run | i switch 2

switch 2 provision ws-c3750-24p

lab-swouter1#config t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

lab-swouter1(config)#switch 2 re?

renumber

lab-swouter1(config)#switch 2 renumber 1

There is no switch number 2 in the stack

lab-swouter1#show switch

Switch/Stack Mac Address : 0023.eacd.1600

                                           H/W   Current

Switch#  Role   Mac Address     Priority Version  State

----------------------------------------------------------

*1       Master 0023.eacd.1600     1      0       Ready

2       Member 0000.0000.0000     0      0       Provisioned
