Can upgrade from spservicesk9 to adventerpisek9 IOS version?

Hi all expert,

I want to upgrade my cisco 2811 integrated router with IOS " c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-25c.bin ". Now i want to upgrade to " c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.124-21a.bin ". Is it proper upgrade ? I want to know difference between spservicesk9 & adventerprisek9 . plz explain me.

You need to use Feature Navigator to find these sort of things out -

If you click on the above link it will take you to the Feature Navigator page. Use the last link on the page ie. "Compare Images" and you will be asked for the device, IOS version and feature set and then you will shown a page which lists the different features available in the feature sets.

While most of the basic features remain the same, SPSerivces is more tuned

towards ISP environment while ADVENTK9 is more tuned towards enterprise

routing. Also, you need to make sure that you are entitled to run that image

on the router (your contract allows you to download/use the image on the

hardware).
