MSP report not report PS failure

I have this MSP report  scheduled to run every morning at 6, today a power supply in 4510 failed but msp report didn't show a failure. I go in RME an drun the report for this device and it still shows two good power supplies, however one power supply has failed and is in bad/off status. Device is fully managed in CiscoWorks RME.

I'm running RME 4.3.1 on solaris 10. Please advise.

RME is not a fault management tool.  You would need to run an RME inventory collection before its reports would show a change in status.  DFM can detect power supply failures.  Did it not create an event for this?

Agree, but after running inventory collection MSP still reported two power supplies, however one power supply was bad/turned off. I believe it is detecting that power supply is inserted regardless if power supply is turned off or on.

Is that how it is supposed to work or am I missing anything?

Correct.  I just added two MSP-capable devices to my LMS server, and the report is showing that power supplies are inserted, not their states.  For a failed power supply, DFM should be showing an event/alert.
