Setting up Simultaneous ringing throughout office

Unanswered Question

I am IT support for a company that runs a Cisco phone system. I am just learning the Cisco systems, and need a bit of help with setting up call routing in Cisco Unified CM Administration System version: My client would like all calls to ext: 5936 to ring simultaneously on 11 other extensions. I created a partition (Named: Call Routing for 5936) which included the numbers to have simultaneous ringing, and also created a new calling search space which included that new partition (Calling search space named: Forwarding for 5936). Also created a call pickup group configuration (Named: Forward calls for 5936)

Details on new partition:

Name - Call Routing for 5936

Description - Call Routing for 5936

Time Schedule - < None >

Time Zone originating Device

Details on calling search space:

Name - Forwarding for 5936

Description - < Blank >

Selected Partitions: Call Routing for 5936

Details on Call Pickup Group

Call pickup group name - Forward calls for 5936

call pickup group number - 5936

description - Routing

Partition - Call routing for 5936

Call pickup group notification policy - audio and visual alert

call pickup gruop notification time - 6 seconds

calling party info checked

called party info checked

(Nothing in *Find pickup numbers by numbers/partition*)

Current associated call pickup groups: 5936/Call Routing for 5936

I don't know if these are the beginning steps to setting this up, and I have never done any type of Cisco networking infrastructure. Please let me know if I'm on the right track? And if I'm way off, can you point me in the right direction?

There are many ways to do this. Really depends on what you want/need.

a) pickup group as you mentioned

b) shared lines

c) broadcast line group.

pickup requires them to press the softkey

shared lines means they'll probably end up with at least 2 DNs per phone

broadcast line groups are just like getting a call and don't need any other line.

I'd say broadcast line groups are the best choice for what you want.
