Direct connection between IP Phones and Teleco?

Hello,

While examining my new 7941 IP Phone, I noticed that there is a lable that mentioned that 79xx can be connected to Telco?

Is this right to connect the ip phone directly to PSTN ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you mean can you connect the phone directly to a POTS line then the

answer is no. I am guessing that if you are looking at a port it would be

the "Aux" port. This port is meant to be used for connecting an expansion

module. Of course the 7941 does support the expansion module but that is

probably a manufacturing thing.
