I have an SA520. The docs say if I reserve IPs they should be outside the DHCP range. On other setups I just let pretty much everything fetch DHCP addresses and then if for some reason I need one to stick to an address I tell the router to reserve the address it already has for that device. Acually on some routers I've used it kind of does that autmatically. Won't give an address to any device other than the MAC that has had it before unless it runs out of DHCP pool. It's easier for one because I don't have to go to the device and hard code it for an IP, it just always gets that one from the router. This router lets me reserve an address it's already given out so the device keeps it, but I don't know if there are any consequences of that since the docs say to do otherwise. Does it matter?
