Solved: CUCMBE migrating to LDAP Synch

Hi - We currently have a standalone CUCMBE 7.1.5.1000-12 installation which has been in place for a few months. The CUCM end user database is local and the CUC user have been imported from this local database. Our customer would now like to the end users to be LDAP integrated with MS AD. The AD userid currently matches the current end users ID for CUCM/CUC in CUCMBE. What we are concerened about is what would happen to existing CUC users and mailboxes? I know in separate CUCM/CUC environments we can preserve local CUC users and mailboxes when we LDAP synch and the doc below explains that if an LDAP account is deleted the CUMBE/CUC user can be preserved as an ordinary account, but I am not too clear as to what the behaviour would be in the event that we LDAP synch with users with existing matching userids?

When you sync and the userID matches what you have the behavior is that users will be preserved, the user will only be updated with the info you have in your LDAP.

If they do not match then they will be marked as inactive and deleted when the garbage deletion mechanism runs and after they have been disabled 24 hours.
