Telnet very slow to my linux server from same subnet ips

Dear Experts,

We are using two billing authentication server , whis is linux base.

when i try to telnet to my server from same subnet it's very slow , take a time.

but when i try to anather ip from my network different subnet to my  server it's very fast.

my server 1 -  ip - 130.233.79.6  subnet 255.255.255.192 gateway 130.233.79.1

My server 2 - ip - 130.233.79.7  subnet 255.255.255.192 gateway 140.233.79.1

when i try to telnet in both the serer from 130.233.79.18 & 22 & 23 it's very slow

but when i try to anather ip into my network ( 219.220.139.23 ) or outside the network to both the server telnet very fasf and normal.

ping reply 1ms from this same subnet no any issue when i try to ping only telnet very slow with same subnet.

so what is the issue and how can i solve this problem.

Hello,

Do you have a Router on the same subnet? It could be that the router (or any

other L3 device) is proxy-arp'ing for the server IP addresses. Try disabling

proxy-arp ("no ip proxy-arp" under interface configuration of the router and

"sysopt noproxyarp "interface name"" for ASA/PIX) and see if that helps.
