Difference 3560-x and 3750-x

Hi

Max feature are similar for 3560-x and 3750-x so what is the main reason customer choose 3750-X ?

what is the key point ?

Hello Biplop,

The key difference between any 3560 and 3750 series is that the 3750 are stackable. They can be interconnected using a special cable into a single stack of switches that behaves like a single large switch, centrally managed and controlled.

The technology used to stack the switches is called StackWise or StackWise Plus (an enhanced version). You may be interested in learning more about it here:

Is the switching capability about the same ?

Yes and no.

For all the device's edge ports, for "like" switches, capability and/or capacity should be the same.

However, as the 3750 has stack ports, and they too are "switched", that might be considered as "extra" capacity, technically, but it doesn't, to my knowledge, make any difference to the Ethernet ports. (Also, possibly, the 3650 might have the same capacity, just unused as the stack ports are not provided.)

For "like" 3650s and 3750s, their datasheets list the same PPS and fabric bandwidths. For an example (PPS) see table 9, page 24, in Data Sheet Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X Series Switches

Hi

There are a few key differences between the Cisco 3560-X and the 3750-X series switches.

These are the new Access layer 3 switches from Cisco.

They both come with a lower price tag to begin with, and have modular SFP ports to change from 1G to 10G fibre connections.
