upgrade CCENT to CCNA

Answered Question

I passed my ICND1 exam a while ago so am a CCENT, I've just been informed that I have to recertify, the deadline is a couple of months away. If I just take my ICND2 exam before my ICND1 expires is that a valid CCNA?

cheers

Yes, as long as you pass ICND2 before your ICND1 exprires, you will have CCNA.

Hope this helps.

Here you go,

CCENT certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass  either the ICND1 or ICND2 exam, or pass the current CCNA exam, or pass a  CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass any  642-XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales  Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
