Choppy calls on CME 4.1


I have a problem with voice quality, the problem began 3 days ago.

if user of CME calls to PSTN , PSTN party listen  CME's user voice choppy

Hi,


I have already checked CME , the only thing that keep my attention was the info
displayed by the following command

#sh memory processor allocating-process totals

I would look to see the state of the processor and memory on box:

show process cpu history

show process mem history

See if either one is reaching 100%

Is there a local PRI connected for inbound and outbound calls, or they using FXO? See if there are any physical layer problems.

And for an active call do:  show call active voice brief  -- Look at the delay and if you are losing any packets. Here is an example:

Thanks a lot for your comments and suggestions.

What is strange is that CPU and Memory processes is not high , just some peaks on CPU; I attach the file.

regarding to show call active voice brief  commands I did not see any lost or delay value.

No problem:

Yes there is nothing to be concered about as far as cpu. But looking at the output of show call active brief, there is alot of noise.

You can adjust the input and output but I suspect a bigger problem with the circuit. I would contact the carrier and have them test,

but unless you are seeing physical later issues on the port they probably will not see any errors either. At the lease you could

replace the cable to the niu.

Carrier has already checked E1; carrier's staff said that all was right....

I'm going to carry out more tests to check if there is something wrong with cables
