hey all,

i ma having a problem with upgrading a 1152 to lightweight mode. i have tryed the cisco Update Tool ( used it successfully on other models of AP'S)

but when i try to do this one it says the lwapp image is incorect. i am using the c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21aJA2.tar image. i have followed the guide on the cisco site:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/conversion/lwapp/upgrade/guide/lwapnote.html#wp161272

thanks

Scott

Here's an easier method.

1.  Copy by extracting the IOS TAR file into the AP using the command "archive download-sw /over tftp:///c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21aJA2.tar".

2.  Make sure the AP boots into the "rcv" image.

3.  Process complete.

Hi Leoaohoo

thanks for the fast reply, when i do that i get an error:

examining image...

" Error opening ( Timed out ) "

archive download takes 41 seconds

i have placed an IP n the AP'S BVI interface so it can ping the tftp server.

do i need to place the AP in Recovery mode? or is there somthing i am missing?

thanks
