Dear all I have a problem with SPAN that I have configured on a cisco stack swithces WS-C3750G-24TS-S the stach consisis of 3 switches the we configured a LOCAL SPAN MONITORRING session:

Switch(config)# monitor session 2 source interface gigabitethernet1/0/2 both
Switch(config)# monitor session 2 destination interface gigabitethernet1/0/1
Switch(config)# end

then a LAPTOP that ae running an applicaion networ traffic analyzer is connected to the destination port ,It was working fine no modification have been don on the network or the configuration but suddenly it only gather the brodcast traffic only I tried to upgrade the IOS to a newer version that are bug free and I remove the session and get the interface to its default then reconfigure it with nothing I get on the destination port only brodcast traffic knowing that no security configuration is applied or any kind of quality of services or traffic classification.

All the port I monitor on the stack is trunk port which carry all of my VLANs

no port security is configured.

This is a local SPAN configuration

connectecd to the stack edge switches then a a pixfirewall then the router to the internet.

help,thank and regards

What code version did you upgrade to? If the option is available, can you

try the following:

Switch(config)# monitor session 2 destination int gi1/0/1 encap replicate
