Sometimes, in remote sites, it happens that people add components to our network. Sometimes they press the "status" button of a switch for a long time, and as a result the switch renames the vlan.dat and config.text to backup files and reboots. That means that the config is lost.
We're now in progress of applying the command "no express setup" to all switches, but I was wondering...
If a manipulation of the status-button can put the config to a backup-file, isn't there any way to put the backup-files back into production by using that same status-button on the switch?
The site where it happens now is quite remote, and the people on-site do not seem to have a console cable on-site.
