I am new to the DMP 4400g and am looking for assistance loading a video file locally to the DMP.  The file is currently in 2 formats, .wmv and a .mpg2.  I am hoping that you can assist me in loading this file locally.

A couple of questions:

* is the DMP registered to a DMM?

* what version of DMS software are you running

on the DMM appliance & the DMPs?

* Have you looked thru the DMP documentation on

Quick Start Guide for Cisco Digital Media Player 4400G

Getting Started Guide for Cisco Digital Media Players

User Guide for Cisco Digital Media Player Device Manager 5.2.x

*** This is a detailed guide that will help you setup the DMP....

In Summary, you need to make sure the Read\Write access is enabled, FTP access enabled & FTP user\pass configured, and

then you can FTP the content to the DMP.  You can then play the local video files from the DMP-DM..

Take a look at these links and they should help you accomplish the task that you

need to do to get things going..
