Solved: Unity Connection User Mailboxes

Hi I have a user with 2 extension numbers on the system, but the user wants to have only 1 mailbox.

How can I point the 1st ext to the 2nd's voice mailbox and have the MWI shown on the 2nd ext when the user has VM for 1st ext number.

Hi Andy,

Let's say the two DN's are 7001 and 8727 and we want the VM box on 7001

Create the VM account on 7001 and add 8727 as an Alternate Extension. Then go to

7001 account Edit> MWI> Add new> 8727 and the lamp for 8727 will light

when there are messages on 7001.
