Hello!
Is it possible to transfer valid Smartnet from broken Cisco ASA 5505 (Lightning strike) to another new Cisco ASA?

Is this part of an RMA that you received?
Once you receive the new unit. You need to e-mail the following to
licensing@cisco.com
1. RMA number
2. OLD unit serial number
3. NEW unit serial number
Smartnet switching happens on the background.

Hello,
You should be able to change the covered devices under your contract. Please contact your reseller/Cisco contact person and request them to help you move the smartnet from one device to another (like device).

Sorry this is lightning strike so, would not have been qualified for an RMA. Yes, in this case pls. follow what NT suggested and contact the vendor through whom you purchased the smartnet and request that they change the serial number associated with it.
