WVC210 and IE7 and IE8 Freeze frames and other issues

Unanswered Question

I have a WVC210 that works fine with Safari and FireFox. However, when using either IE7 or IE8 I don't get streaming video. I get an initial frame of video and nothing more. If I press "Refresh" I do get an additional frame. I can send commands to the camera without any problem but, as always, I have to Refresh to see a new frame of video.

A second issue with IE7 & 8 is that I don't see the buttons for taking a still shot of the screen or zooming. When running Safari and FireFox I don't have them either.

Also with IE7& 8 I can't just put in my camera's address such as "172.168.254:1088" but rather I have to enter "http://172.16.8.254:1088/main.cgi?next_file=video2.htm". Again: "172.168.254:1088" works with Safari and FireFox but not with IE7&8. Argh!

My camera has been updated to 1.1.1 without fixing any of my issues.

any feedback or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

I have this problem too.

You would have to put the HTTP: in front of the cameras IP address followed by the port number in order for it to load correctly.

THANKS

Please call Cisco Small Business Support and have them try to connect to the camera to see if they have the same issue. You can find the number to call for your locality at the following link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html

Be prepared to provide the serial number of your camera for entitlement. You may wish to change your Username/Password temorarily or create another user for them to access.
