I am trying to purchase a Smartnet contract for a WiSM card plugged into a 6509 and can't figure out which WiSM module serial number is correct. The P/N for the card is WS-SVC-WISM-1-K9. When I log into the 6509 and run 'sh idprom all' I get the following:
IDPROM for module #8
(FRU is 'WiSM WLAN Service Module')
OEM Stringf = 'Cisco Systems'
Product Number = 'WS-SVC-WISM-1-K9'
Serial Number = 'SADXXXXXXXX'
Manufacturing Assembly Number = '73-10361-06'
Manufacturing Assembly Revision = 'B0'
Hardware Revision = 2.3
Current supplied (+) or consumed (-) = -3.50A
But when I log into the WLC web page and go to "CONTROLLER" > "Inventory" the Serial Number listed is FAMXXXXXXXX.
Why aren't they matching up?
Thanks,
-mike
