Set phone button to outgoing FXO port! (for School)

HI There

This issue is for a Primary school, and I'm a newbie UC guy doing volunteer IT work.

I have a Uc520, and just added a Vic2-2FXO card.

I have a 3rd party intercom device (Telecor) that is presenting me with a dial tone. If plug an analog phone in, I can use the system/etc by dialing a wide variety of codes.

I've plugged the Telecor's fxs into my FXO card (0/2/0).

I want to allow my IP phone users to access this device by pressing a button on thier phones for extenstion 2023 (Intercom). The goal is if they press that, they get the Telecor's dial tone. The Telecor will not be dialing me on this line. .Just outgoing from the UC.

Easier said than done. Right now, when I press the button, I get a busy signal. Here is my config.

voice-port 0/2/0
connection plar opx 2023
caller-id enable

ephone-dn  3  dual-line
number 2023 no-reg primary
label Intercom
description PICS
name Pics2Intercom
call-forward noan 2096 timeout 24

I then have that ephone-dn 3 mapped to a few phones.

Thank you so much..

Henry,

Try this config:

voice-port 0/2/0

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 80

port 0/2/0

ephone-dn 3

number 2023

trunk 80

Then, try picking up this DN (2023) on one of the phones and dialing a code as you would with an analog phone.

Hope this helps.

Thank You!!

I had one more issue, and it was because I had mistakenly set the phone button to monitor, not Silent/Ring.

Cheers,
