I wanted to see if someone has any experience with this issue and how to resolve it.
We are experiencing a little difficulty in setting up a virtual server with Nexus 5010 / Nexus 2248. Here's the scoop:
Nic 1: Virtual Server + IPMI Interface (Vlan 105)
Nic 2: QA Multicast Segment (VLan 104)
We want to have two IP addresses assigned to NIC 1 in the same VLAN, one being an IPMI device and the other being a Redhat Enterprise Linux Cluster IP address.
The difficulty we are having is bringing the Virtual Server up.
Our previous setup we were configured as follows:
Nic 1: Virtual Server + IPMI Interface + QA Multicast Segment (VLAN 1) on CIsco 3750 G switches.
Nic 2: Unused
We had no issues in the old segment, but it was also on older technology.
Our thoughts were that VLAN 1 is untagged in the old setup and VLAN 105 is tagged in the new setup. Perhaps untagging the VLAN 105 would resolve the issue?
