Hello Binu,

IF it is a  software based router that supports modular QoS your configuration will be accepted and it will do what you want to achieve.

I wonder however, if it is appropriate to use it as if the router has performance limitations it is auto limited to a value less then 40 Mbps it would be wise to shape on the other side and probably is what you want to do

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hello Binu,

you are fine with software based routers that include the C7200.

Shaping on the weaker side may be considered not a necessity as router performance are lower then WAN bandwidth.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
