blocking caller-id per internal calls

We have followed configuration steps included in cisco unified communications features and services guide, call display restriction section, but is not working. We have CUCM 6.1.2 and ip phones 7911, 7940, 7942, 7960 and 7975. Any ideas what is wrong?

Configuration we have done:

1. Create two new partitions, TransPartition and BlockPartition.
   2. Create two new Calling Search Spaces, TransCSS and BlockCSS.
   3. In the BlockCSS, add the BlockPartition as well as all the other partitions where you want the phones to call, for example, user_partition, and in the TransCSS, add the TransPartition.
   4. Create a Translation Pattern in this way:

          * In the Translation pattern field, add XXXX or any other mask so that all the internal calls match this pattern.
          * In the partition field, add TransPartition.
          * In the calling search space field, add BlockCSS.
          * In the calling party transform mask, add 0000 or the number you  want to display.

You can also choose Calling Party Presentation as Restricted in order to not display any number or ID.

   5. In the line settings on the Manager phone(s), use these:

    * In the partition field, choose BlockPartition.
    * In the calling search space field, choose TransCSS.

Previosly, we checked following steps:

Service Parameter:

     •Always Display Original Dialed Number

Translation Pattern Parameters

     •Calling Line ID Presentation

     •Connected Line ID Presentation

Phone Configuration/User Device Profile Parameter:

•Ignore Presentation Indicators (internal calls only)

Lets take this example

Manager (2000) -- Employee (1000)

when Manager calls 1000, User at 1000 shouldn't see CallerID.

So..Here's what you configure.

Manager Phone CSS : BLOCK_CSS(Partitions:BLOCK_PARTITION)

Employee Phone Partition(EMP) if its left to none then You will not hit the translation pattern

Translation Pattern (Partition:BLOCK_PARTITION) CSS(Partitions:EMP) PATTERN:XXXX --> Calling party to none or anyother number as desired.

Can change the Presentation to restriced too*completely removes CLID

My 2 cents.

Hi,

Now it works!!,  Just a few extra configs:

Manager Phone CSS : BLOCK_CSS(Partitions:BLOCK_PARTITION, EMP)

Employee Phone Partition(EMP)

Translation Pattern (Partition:BLOCK_PARTITION) CSS(Partitions:EMP)

PATTERN: 22654 (EXACT DN, IT DIDN'T WORK USING XXXXXX)

Calling party: ****** (IT DIDN´T WORK WHEN I LEFT IT BLANK)

Presentation to restriced

Thanks a lot!!!

Glad that it worked .. Please rate me

All:

thanks for the config -

we've configured this and it blocks caller id when user makes internal call.

Can it be restricted for a  transfered call?

user does not want his number to show even when internal caller is transfered to him by receptionist.

right now, when i have receptionist transfer me to him, my display shows call to his name/number
