Using a Router as a Netflow Probe

Unanswered Question
Sep 22nd, 2010

I have a remote site with a Cat3750 switch, which does not support Netflow.

I am curious if it is possible to connect the switch to a spare ethernet port on the router and set up a monitor session on the switch to accomplish LAN netflow collection.

I have made the necessary connections and set up the monitor session on the switch.  I have also configured the router's ethernet port with

ip flow ingress

But am not receiving any netflow data.

I also tried ip route-cache flow which also did not work.

Is what I want to do even possible?  If there is a better way, I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have this problem too.
