We purchased a 7200 series with a c7200-i/o and rj-45 fast ethernet ports. The NVRAM chip in missing. How can I get one? Does it have to have one installed?

Hello,

Are you referring to NVRAM or are you referring to Flash? NVRAM is supposed to be part of the motherboard. So, if you do not have NVRAM, then I guess you need to have a different I/O module. If you do not have the Flash card, then you can buy one that is compatible (PCMCIA Card).

Regards,

NT

I am referring to the NVRAM that is supposed to be in the I/O card. When I connect to the console port and turn on the router I get :

System Bootstrap, Version 11.1(10) [dschwart 10], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Warning: monitor nvram area is corrupt ... using default values

environment checksum in NVRAM failed
