Problem Fax and Slip error

I've got a problem with incoming fax, I used fax on ramp application and the problem happened sometimes (expecially when I have to receive multiple pages).

I've attached the config and this is the "show controller e1 0/0/0" and  e1 0/3/0:

Of course the problem happen only on number received on the controller e1 0/3/0

I've noticed a lot of slip error, this could be the problem? How can I troubleshoot and resolve this kind of problem?

Are the two E1s circuits from the same provider? If you switch the priority of the network-clock-select statements, do the slips on 0/3/0 go away? If so, the two E1s are using separate clocks. The only way to resolve the slips is to isolate the two E1s in separate clocking domains.

It would require moving one of the E1s to a voice-capable NM with separate DSP resources.

I've changed the network-clock-select priority and now the problem is on 0/0/0 !!!!!!

The e1 0/3/0 works fine!!!

How can I do?

Try:

no network-clock-participate wic 0

controller e1 0/0/0

clock source line independent

There isn't independent on clock source command.

The only choice is bits:

Gateway(config)#controller E1 0/0/0
Gateway(config-controller)#clock source line ?
  bits  Bits Clocking
 

That indicates you have a VWIC, not VWIC2.

You may be be out of luck then - no resolution.

The independant option is only for data T1s and doesn't work for voice. As discussed in my previous post, you'll need to separate the clocking domains by putting one of T1s in an NM with separate DSPs.

I have no router to try this now, but where in documentation is this indicated ?

Voice NMs on ISR routers are obsolete solution, there must be a better solution.

The documentation clearly states that it does not work with voice.

"Enhanced clocking capabilities—The 2-port MFT VWIC2s can enable each port to be clocked from independent clock sources for data applications. This independent clocking capability is not supported for voice applications and not supported with the AIM-ATM-VOICE-30 module."

NMs are not obsolete. If you want to discuss this further than start a new thread.
