i can ping broadcast ip in a vlan from any machine that can stuck my network. what are the ways to deny this ip and what are the effect we can face after denying this

Hi Kukreja,

When you try to ping the broadcast ip of a network you will get reply from all the host connected on that segment. Regrading the deny of that IP I am not sure what you are looking for.

actually i want that no body on my vlan can ping broadcast ip by using load for security purpose. i can do by enablimg ( no ip redirect or no ip directed broadcast on interface of vlan ).now i want to now how much these command can effect our network ,machines in what manner. please understand my point my focus only on impacts we can face by enabling these command
