Hi

On the center side we want to use wccp mode, on the branch side we want to use inline mode. Is that possible? Are there any cons for that?

In all of our branches we use the "rotuer on a stick " The only issue with inline and this happedn once was since the WAE only have 1 power supply and it was plugged into a UPS that totally failed brining the site down until someone could adjust the cabling. We use WCCP now its harder on the routers and you have to have 2800's and up..but if that ever happens again WCCP with drop and the site will stay up...

Hi Robbin,

Thanks for answering the question.

Now about youyr issue on "bringing down the site with failed WAE", please make sure that you follow the cabling rules mentioned here. THis is a critical piece of information to make sure the connectivity restores to normal after failover on inline interfaces.

I am sure above should tke care of failover during such outage.

Regards.
