Can you use a Application User for a SIP credential?

We are running CUCM 7.1.3.32900-4 and using our Corporate LDAP for end user authentication. In this senario I cannot add users to the End Users, for use with SIP Phones. If I create a Application User, I cannot use that for the SIP credentials as it only looks in the End Users for that info? Any ideas of how to associate a Application user with a SIP phone for digest credentials?

Unfortunately you can't if you look at the instructions for 3rd party SIP phones they state you need to create an End User.

You'll need to create them in AD so they sync with CUCM and then use them.

Configure the end user that will be the Digest User.
