Solved: Installing VWIC2-1MFT-G703 in 2911 router

Hi,

I have to terminate an E1 using VWIC2-1MFT-G703 Interface card on 2911/k9 router but as per my knowledge installing HWIC card in EHWIC slot requires an intermediate jacket but I am not sure. I shall be grateful if someone can guide me a) is it is possible b) how?

Nothing is needed to install this card.

Note, unless you must using unframed mode, the expensive -G703 version is not necessary.

Hello!

A. Yes. EHWIC's are of the exact same form factor as an HWIC. Hence any supported HWIC, WIC, VIC or VWIC will seat in an EHIC without the use of an adapter card.

In the PDF above you can see your card being supported by ISR G2 routers.
