Cucm 8.02 AD import and Mobile phonenumber

cisco4mab

We recently implemented Cucm v8.02 and Cisco 7945 IPPhone's.

Everything is working as expected, except for one function.

How do we get the Mobile Phone numbers to be included in the Company phonebook?

Our users are imported from the AD and in the AD they have all relevant fields filled in.

The officephone number is included properly and shows in the Company phonebook.

Is there any way to get the mobilenumbers in?

Our supplier tells us that we need to create seperate AD users accounts for the Mobile Phone users...

CUCM only syncs this field:

Phone Number

(drop-down list box)

For these fields, the Cisco Unified Communications Manager data in the  field specified at left gets synchronized with the LDAP user data in the  field specified at right.

For the LDAP User field, choose one of the following values:

telephoneNumber

ipPhone

LDAP Directory Configuration

You would need to write down your own directory script that brings more information you need.

Thanks for your reply, I'm aware that AD only syncs the telephoneNumber and ipPhone fields, we are actively using these.

Can you clarify how we would "write down our own directory script that brings more information"?

Do you mean that we would need to write a script which adjusts AD or would we need to write a script which adjusts the ldap import on CUCM?

Hi

He means write an XML based we service which provides a directory to the phones by directly connecting to AD; this would run on your own web server. Effectively it would bypass the CCM directory, and that it's written by you means you aren't limited to very much at all (i.e. not limited to the number of fields available on a CCM user account, where there is no 'mobile' attribute).

I posted an example of such a service here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3026015#3026015
