Plug/Unplug V.35 cables on Serial Interfaces with Power

Hi,

Just  a question - is it safe to plug/unplug V.35 cables (with powered on CSU/DSU on at the end) on serial interfaces (WIC-2T, WIC-1T) when the router is powered-on?  So far, to be safe - what I have been doing is powering down the router when plugging in these cables.  But I am in a situation where I may have to unplug/plug these cables without powering down the router - is it safe to do so?

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Tony
