6921 phone downgrade from 9.0.2 to 8.5.x

Hi to all,

i have call manager 7.1.5 and some cisco 6921.

Phones have a preloaded firmware (9.0.2) a nd i would like to downgrade to 8.5.x.

I installed new firmware but phone still run 9.0.2.(also i modified load phone name in device settings)

I have a language issue (6921 won't show thei button in italian while 7942 are ok) and i think it could be a firmware problem.

any idea?

I'm not sure if downgrading is possible.  From the 9.0.2 release notes:

"After you upgrade from firmware release 8.5(4) to 9.0(2) and for subsequent firmware releases, you can upgrade or downgrade only to signed firmware releases"
