I have a 6509 switch with CATOS , making use of this as a L2 only and L3 functionality is moved to 3550 ;

I created VLANs on both the end and for management purpose only one vlan 1 interface created on 6509 MSFC and rest of the VLAN interfaces are moved to L3 switch (3550).

Trunk is up on both the end ,but when i connect my laptop with static ip address , not able to ping the vlan interface on 3550.Required vlans are allowed and see the configurations below.

Is there any command need to be added in the switch to insist the switch not to use MSFC for L3 or ?...May be , the CATOS is having some bug..old one.

set port name       3/1  Giga Link_3750 STACK

clear trunk 3/1  2-201,203-699,701-1005,1025-4094

set trunk 3/1  desirable negotiate 1,202,700

Cisco 3550

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1

description Connecting_To_6509_SWITCH

switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,202,700
