Hello All,
Might somebody had the same issue before?
CUCM cluster 7.1.5
users can not access to user page from IE8!
When trying to reach the cisco web server via
http://x.x.x.x/ccmuser the page does
not load after entering account name and password.
Page remains in status; "Loading, Please wait"
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Tibor

Hi Tibor,
With CUCM 7.1 we don't support IE 8. Check "Web Browsers" section from guide below:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/7_1_2/ccmcfg/b01intro.html#wp1027414
CUCM version in the guide is 7.1.2, but it's the same guide for 7.1.5 as well.
Thanks,
Tijana

Hi Tijana,
Thanks for your reply and your time!
I have found the following also on CCO:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucmbe/rel_notes/7_1_5/cucmbe-rel_notes-715.html
Supported browsers comprise Internet Explorer (IE) 7 or 8, Firefox 3.x, or Safari 4.x.
according to this IE8 should be supported...
Some additional info: All PCs running windows XP!!
Thanks and regards,
Tibor

Are you running CUCM or CUCMBE?

The browser support is the same for CUCM as well:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/7_1_5/cucm-rel_notes-715a.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/7_1_5/cucm-rel_notes-715b.html
System is running CUCM (not Business Edition)

You could try running IE8 in IE7 compatibility mode - Press F12 and select from popup menu.
I just use Firefox now though!

IE8 browser support comment added there is part of description of defect - Netscape browser not supported.
However, issues with accessing user pages on IE8 is known
for version 7 and support is still not fully doc in Admin gude for ver 7, for ver 8 it is.
What I seen so far it's never problem accessing CUCM Admin page using IE8, only user page. Most of the time user page doesn't work on Win XP SP3, usually there is no issue on Win 7.
Thanks,
Tijana

Please give this a try.
1.) Bring up Internet Explorer.
2.) Press ALT so you get the Menu Bar at the top.
3.) Click on View and then click on Zoom.
4.) Click on 100%.
5.) Close all Internet Explorers and reopen and then try logging into the CCMUser page again.
Thanks

Hi Jason,
Thank you VERY much for your great help on this issue. We had the problem with IE8 and it was indeed a custom Zoom level issue. If you set "custom" zoom to 105% for instance, it freezes totally IE! It's crazy...
Anyway, thank you again.

We are having the same issue using CUCM 6.1.5 for some users ( not all ) where IE 8 will not allow end users to access their ccmuser page.
However, the same user that attempts this with Firefox has no problem. I am thinking it has something to do with one of the software pushes of JAVA that changes something in the IE 8 settings. My CUCM 6.1.5 end user page access using IE 8 has no issues.

Ronald, I am seeing similar problems. Were you able to find out if it was Java issues?
11-03-2011 01:24 PM
The issue was found to be the zoom feature in IE8. If set to 100% the page
works fine.
I assume it could be Java but I did not need to narrow it down since the
changing the zoom to 100 seem to fix all of our users.
Thanks
