Hi all,
i want anything help me to get the configuration file from pix515 to put it on cisco asa5540
pix version is 3.1 , ASA version 8.0
when i copied it manually it didn't work , i don't know why??

PIX version 3.1 is an extremely old version of code (back in 1997), therefore it will no longer work for ASA. It will not even work for PIX version 6.x, 7.x and 8.x anymore.
I would recommend that you build the ASA from scratch. I wouldn't think there will be too many features on PIX version 3.1 so configuring the ASA from scratch should not be too complicated.

Not sure if copying exist in that version.
Here is the command reference for version 3.x, it might help you:

Looks like the only command to obtain the configuration is "show config" or "write terminal".

thanks for your reply.
could you provide me the way to get the configuration file from that pix via tftp as there is no show flash or no disk0:and i don't know where the config file is stored?
and i want to get the config file from it to make sure that their is nothing missing.
