Hi,
I am currently configured a H.323 GW which contain few FXO port. Normal PSTN line is connected to the FXO port. The PSTN number is assign to one of the IP phone.
My problem is, when i use my mobile phone to call this PSTN line, the IP phone ring, but it shows UNKNOWN NUMBER. By right it should display my mobile number as the incoming number. I tried to grab the debug info, so that i can see whether i manage to see what is the incoming number. for ISDN PRI E1, we use debug isdn q931, but for this PSTN FXO, i cannot find the command.
Any idea? do i miss out anything in CM?
thanks

Start with debug vpm signal..
It is possible that you may have to tweak
caller-id alerting ring and|or ring number
CLI for the tone plan u have configured.

i have added the caller-id enable & caller-id alerting command, but somehow i
t doesnt work.
i have tried debug voice ccapi inout
Calling Number=,(Calling Name=)(TON=Unknown, NPI=Unknown, Screening=Not Scree
ned, Presentation=Allowed),
Called Number=79577512(TON=Unknown, NPI=Unknown),
does this mean, the gateway itself cannot get any caller-id, therefore no caller-id display?

this snip from voip ccapi shows no CLID coming in but we
really need deb vpm signal to see if dsp receives anything
before handing it off to ccapi. There are advanced dsp commands
(debug hpi) as well but start with vpm.
Did u say that you do get caller id for calls from the land lines.
If yes, include that as well so that we can compare timings.
Pl. configure service time debug date msec before running debugs.

Try this information out and see how it goes. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3/vvf_c/cisco_ios_voice_configuration_library_glossary/vclclid.html
It may be possible that the model of your FXO may not support Caller ID.
