Cisco ASA disconnect issue

I'm doing some testing here and am facing a issue with the 8.0 OS. when I'm logged in via the management interface and try to re-IP the same interface (with the same IP of course) the ASA disconnects. Is that a known behaviour of the ASA and if it is can someone explain why this would be happening?

Hi,

I just tested and same thing happens to me.

I did it on the outside interface:

interface gig 0/0

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0

If I just re-add the same IP to the interface, it briefly disconnects and allow me in again.

I think is normal... is it giving you a problem?
