IPS IME 7.0.3 - No new sig updates for Engine3

Hello,

I've checked the software dowload area for the latest IPS Engine 3 signature updates.

Updates stopped being published on 24/MAR/2010 (IPS-sig-S479-req-E3.pkg)

For Engine 4, updates span from 31/MAR/2010 with IPS-sig-S481-req-E4.pkg, upto 11/NOV/2010 with IPS-sig-S530-req-E4.pkg.

Is Cisco dropping support for Engine 3? Will there be no more updates?

Could someone please advise?

Hi JDuro,

Your observation is correct. E3 engine signature updates have been stopped and E4 engine is the way going forward. Would suggest you to upgrade your IPS engine to E4.
