IPCC Express upgrade 4.0 to 8.5

If go for a hardware & software upgrade for IPCC Express from 4.0 to 8.5 then can I utilize the currently in use agent licenses with new hardware & software as well.

Yes you reuse the seat and original node license files from CCX 4. You must add an upgrade entitlement license when installing the 8.5 software. If you no longer have the LIC files from CCX 4 you can open a case with Cisco Licensing. You will need the Cisco SO number(s) to get the license files regenerated.

A couple of months ago I did a 4.0 to 8.0 upgrade.  I had the original agent license files but UCCX 8.0 did not recognize them.  I had to convince Cisco Licensing to reissue the agent licenses for 8.0 even though I had the originals....they gave a lot of pushback.

What is this "upgrade entitlement license", has it to be ordered separately along with 8.5 software.

That's the actual entitlement to run version 8 standard/enhanced/premium.
