HI All,
Is there any way to customize the background image of cisco ip phone 7962 using external TFTP server,i dont want to use my default cucm as tftp inorder to customize.

Hi,
You can try creating putting the custom background images in the folder /Desktops/320x196x4 on your external TFTP server and point the 7962 IP phone to this TFTP server IP address. It should work as this is what happens when the Settings-->User preferences-->background images is selected on the IP phone(click on the link below,check under "setting wallpaper in cisco IP phones" section)

Since the phone looks for List.xml file under the above-mentioned folder, you can put all the necessary files under the folder and it should work.

Hi Jijo,
What version of Communciations manager are you using? Why don't you want to use the tftp server on CUCM? disk space issue's? user restrictions?
You can also use cisco phone designer widget. With this application users can customize their own IP Phone with ringtones and backgrounds. Users can upload their own mp3's or use their own images for backgrounds.

There is also a application by Voip Integrations where you can push ip phone backgrouns to the phone.
