UC540 no incoming calls - Debug isdn q931

Hi Community!


This was my first post and I hope, that someone could help me with my missing knowledge about the configuration


I had a huge problem with my dailplan of an existing UC540 with incoming calls. Outgoing are working fine, but if somebody call the main number or any other extension number except the existing phone extension (100,200,300,888,...) then I get a "This number can not be reached" from the telefon provider. I can not find out wich number the telco is sending maybe there will be the problem. Attached you will also find the dailplan that I use.

At the first calling party number is my phonenumber to see, but actually we use a "0" on the beginning.
What is going wrong here?

Can you give us a quick run down on the ingress call flow topology?


For instance, what number is being dialed, where you expect that number to go, and how have you programmed this to work, was CLI used or CCA?


I have a feeling it is a dial-plan issues, which means it can be resolved easily enough

Calling Party Number i = 0x2183, '63'

Plan:ISDN, Type:National

Called Party Number i = 0x81, '0'



I would have your carrier check your IDSN config, and also confirm your trunk settings.


The above would indicate the number you are calling from is '63' - not sure what country has such short numbering, and the number being called is '0' - again, pretty useless.


Perhaps check your port settings under Telephony -> Ports and Trunks -> PSTN Trunks -> BRI and check your settings. Not sure what country you are in, but in Australia we use BASIC NET3, None, 0, which seem to work for us.

Hi David, thany you for your re.


We used the CCA to configure the UC540 and the phones. You are right it was a dailplan issue that can only fixed by using the CLI. We spend a lot of time to to find out how ISDN (Telekom) works in Austria, because it is a little bit different to other contries. The debug log is correct and show us only the digits you dail more then the headnumber.

For example the headnumber is 02773 123456 and you dail exactly this number you get "" (nothing) back. If you dail 02773 124560 you get "0" back. If you dail 02773 12456800 you get "800" back and so on.


During this projekt we found out a lot (to much) how it´s running with the telko in austria, so we know how it works now and in the meantime we installed a lot of this UC540 device on different places in austria. With the UC540 you got a pretty cool device!
