cisco phone 7921 handover time from one AP to other is high

Hi,

I am working on a project where voice over wireless is implemented using 7921 Wireless phone and controller running on version 7.0.98.0. When I move speaking over the phone, from one AP towards another, there is voice drop for 5-6 seconds and then voice comes back. The Client Roaming parameters for 802.11a/n are as follows.

Mode
Minimum RSSI	dBm
Hysteresis	dB
Scan Threshold	dBm
Transition Time	Seconds

I am not facing this issue where APs are very closely located. where APs are placed little far, I have these issues. But there is no signal drop when i move from one AP to other. There is only voice packet drop. Please suggest on improving the handover time in such case. Thank you.

First, would suggest to upgrade the WLC to 7.0.116.0.

1.4(2) will have more aggressive scanning.

If 1.3(3) works better than 1.3(4) or 1.4(1), then open a TAC case and may be able to provide some dev phone code.
