We are unable to login at Cisco 6509 switch, due to username and password not working. We have tried to recover the password as per Cisco document, but that is also not working. This switch is our Primary Switch in our network. Please suggest what to do.

I have this problem too.

Hi,

To recover password, it depends on whether you are running CatOS:

Or Native IOS

Hi,

The url is not working. It's giving below mentioned error while opening the url:

Forbidden File or Application

We have tried via ssh and console. The switch has Native IOS.

Please suggest what to do.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks a lot for your support. As suggested by you, we are able to recover the password. To recover the password we were using laptop with serial usb converter, but it didn't work. After a lot of searching at online, we found that high end series devices doesn't work properly with usb serial converter. Then we used desktop with com port and we were able to recover the password
