Call Forwarding - Preserve Caller-ID

Is there any way to preserve caller-id on forwarded calls?

The reason I ask is that we have a customer with an external voicemail to email service. It works fine except that the source number is always their main number. (On their old phone system this was not a problem)

It seems this would be really useful in the case of forwarding to a cell phone as well.

As near as I can tell -- the only place to set up any kind of caller-id is on the SIP trunk config -- and that only allows 1 number to be set?

Hi,

On FXO, there is no way to change the caller-id on outbound calls.  That is set by the FXO service provider.

On SIP trunks we have on the future feature list a request to pass on caller ID for redirected calls such as CFNA.  This would only be applicable for calls that originate and terminate with SIP trunks.

In the 2.1.0 Release Candidate firmware one of the new features is support for outbound DID on SIP trunk calls.  This will give you more options, but won't address your specific request as the DIDs are numbers owned by the UC320W.
