3750X and GLC-T ? doh

Unanswered Question
Aug 19th, 2011

I was very surprised today that the 3750X equipped with the 4x SFP+ 10GE module, does NOT support a 1 Gig copper GLC-T in all of the 4 SFP+ ports. 1 Gig Fiber SFPs are supported in all 4 ports, but a copper 1 Gig SFP is only supported in slot 1 & 3 ??

Is this a hardware limitation or might it get resolved in future releases ?

I have this problem too.

I don't think this will ever be supported on the C3KX-NM-10G (4x 10GE SFP+). It is supported on the C3KX-NM-1G (4x 1GE SFP).

As stated in Table-18

"These SFPs will not operate in the SFP+ module slots for the C3KX-NM-10G and C3KX-SM-10G Network Modules"
