Solved: Question about exceeding DLU amount on CUCM?

Hi,

The demo license for Cisco UCM allow up to 3 nodes with 500 DLU for 90 days.

What happens if I import phones equaling 1300 DLU (around 350 phones)?

I understand it will give me licensing errors, but will it still allow me to import those phones? If it does what are some other options I can do?

BTW - This is for testing that will eventually have the appriorpriate licensing required.

Hi Rya,

A DRS restore won't care about the DLU mismatch as you would be expected

to re-license if replacing a server. So you should be good to go

Hi Rya,

When you say import, I'm guessing this means a BAT import. If so

you will receive an error like this when you reach the 500 DLU limit;

Error : 4935 Allocated licenses consumed by used and pending

and the remaining phones will not be imported

Actually its from a restore not BAT. Would it generate the same error?

Hi Rya,
