If you would like to dial an outside call without having to dial a 9, that feature is currently unavailable on the UC320 except on a Shared FXO. On a shared FXO it very clear that you are going to dial an outside number. However when you pick-up the handset you may also dial an internal number. So the system needs a 9 to identify that you are calling outside.

There are some plans to build intelligence into the UC320 to identify if it is an outside call, based on the number that you dial. However this has not been comitted to the Road map.
